I’m Andrew Surmani. With more than 35 years of executive leadership experience in helping companies achieve success and the vision of their owners, as well as over a decade of university teaching experience, I know what it takes for an organization and its people to reach their goals.
I have worked with a Fortune 100 company, several family businesses and my own businesses. As the CMO of Alfred Music for 29 years, I helped grow the company from $7 million to $50 million in revenue. I also served as the CEO of another music company, Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse.
I am the co-author of the Essentials of Music Theory curriculum, which has sold over 2 million units and $30 million at retail. It has been the top-selling music theory curriculum in North America for over 20 years.
During my 35 years of experience, I have dealt with acquisitions, divestitures, strategic planning, new product launches, budgeting, management structural changes, distribution systems, property management, technology development, crisis management, international expansion, corporate and product line strategic management, licensing, hiring and firing, B2B and B2C marketing and sales.
Education: MBA from California State University, Northridge
